There will be no movement from any containment zone until further notice.
The Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport reiterated this in a statement highlighting that those refusing to comply with this order will face a fine or prison term.
“If any person(s)/Operator who directly or indirectly refuses or neglects to comply with the above laid authorisation by the Permanent Secretary for Health and Medical Services, commits an offence and is liable to a fine of up to $10,000 or imprisonment or both under the Public Health Act 1935.”
Meanwhile, only Fijians registered to move from non-containment to containment zones will be permitted to travel at present.
