COVID-19: More than 9000 Fijians registered for domestic repatriation

More than 9000 Fijians have been registered as of June 15, 2021, by the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport to return home.

A Government statement said a total of 9067 Fijians had registered for domestic repatriation since the announcement on May 29, 2021.

This includes 647 people from the Eastern Division, 4758 from the Central Division, 1584 from the Northern Division, and 2078 from the Western Division.

The ministry has reiterated that only registered individuals will be allowed to travel as it remains in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Medical Services and the Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management to ensure safe movements.
