We are fully committed to providing support and assistance to those most vulnerable to the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Digicel Fiji chief executive officer Farid Mohammed shared these sentiments as the mobile network provider presented 10,000 surgical masks and thermal temperature guns to the National Disaster Management Office (NDMO) in light of the surging outbreak in the country.
“We are all in for supporting communities and we want to provide as much support as we can to help contain and stop the spread of this virus,” he said.
Mr Mohammed urged Fijians to adhere to COVID-safe measures put in place by Government.
“Digicel is leading by example in actively encouraging its staff to get vaccinated.
“The company will continue to drive this message so the team can safely provide much needed services and keeping customers connected to their family and loved ones.”
Minister for Defence, National Security and Policing, Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management Inia Seruiratu acknowledged the assistance from Digicel Fiji.
“Thank you for this very timely support which will assist us with the current COVID-19 response,” he said.
