COVID-19: Lockdown lifted for Siberia, Labasa

Police have lifted the lockdown it had implemented for the Siberia area in Labasa after consulting the Health Ministry.

Police Commissioner Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho said the lockdown had been lifted from last night.

Brig-Gen Qiliho also explained that the lockdown had to be lifted after tests for the family of patient number nine residing in the area came out negative.

He also clarified that the Labasa Town will only be locked down if advised by the Health Ministry.
