COVID-19: Lautoka residents urged seek the assistance of Empower Pacific

PEOPLE living within the greater Lautoka area have been urged to seek the assistance of Empower Pacific if they going through difficulties during this lockdown period.

The Non-Government Organisation opened its 24 hours phone services to the public on Monday.

CEO Patrick Morgam said so many people were getting stressed from losing their jobs.

“We have had calls and some people just want to talk about their situation,” he said.

“We have trained counsellors, the good thing is that our counsellors get connected to other links that we work with and since we are limited as well, we can’t literally go out, we have opened up phone services.

“It is just a matter of everyone working together so that psychosocial and mental health needs of the people are met.”

Vodafone users can reach them on 2937141 while Digicel users can do so on 7765626.
