COVID-19: Four arrested for breach of curfew restrictions

Four people were arrested over the last 48- hours for breach of curfew restrictions.

Acting Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu said from 11 pm Monday to 4 am Tuesday, two cases were recorded.

“The Northern Division and the Central Division recorded a case each whereby a 27 -year-old man in the Northern Division was found drunk at Wairiki in Taveuni while a man in his 30’s was also arrested along the Rewa Street in Suva for intoxicated,” A/CP Tudravu said.

“Between Tuesday 11 pm to Wednesday at 4 am, two reports were recorded, with both cases recorded in the Central Division,” he said.

“This involves two taxi drivers who both were driving without a valid reason.”
