Government today received the locally-made 3D face shields to assist health workers in Fiji against the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a Facebook post in the ‘Australia in Fiji’ page, Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, John Feakes, was present at the delivery of locally-made 3D face shields to Health Minister, Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete – a first of its kind for Fiji and the Pacific.

The post further stated that the face shields, which were manufactured by Skyward Industries through support from Market Development Facility, will further protect Fijian health personnel on the frontline of the COVID19 pandemic.

“Australia will continue to support our Fijian Vuvale and the Fijian Government’s efforts to beat COVID-19.”
