Fiji has recorded four new border quarantine cases of COVID-19.
Ministry of Health and Medical Services permanent secretary Dr James Fong confirmed this last night saying the four are Fijian citizens who arrived at Nadi International airport on flight NZ952 from Auckland on Thursday, November 26, 2020.
They include a 28-year-old young woman and a 58-year-old man who had travelled from Kenya, a 36-year-old man who travelled from Mali, and a 53-year-old man who travelled from France.
He said all the new cases were under strict border quarantine conditions from the time the flight landed in Nadi, as with previous border quarantine cases.
“They are all in stable condition and have been transferred to the isolation unit at Lautoka hospital according to our standard protocol for confirmed cases,” Dr Fong said.
Fiji now has seven active border quarantine cases and 226 days without a local case of COVID-19 in our communities.
