COVID-19: Eight arrested in last 24 hours

Eight cases were recorded for breach of curfew restrictions over the last 24 hours.

According to Police, the Central Division recorded four cases where three people were found loitering at Rewa Street area in Suva while a 55- year old man was also arrested in Suva for driving a taxi without a valid reason.

“In the Northern Division, four people who are all fishermen were found loitering at Waitavala area in Taveuni,” said Police Commissioner Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho.

The Eastern Division, Central, and the Western Division recorded nil cases.
