More than 100 businesses were inspected around Fiji to ensure COVID-Safe Business Operation Protocols are being followed.

More inspections are currently being conducted by the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport and the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission.

Businesses were urged in a statement to take responsibility for their premises including customers and staff.

“We urge everyone to follow COVID-safe protocols such as wearing a mask, maintaining a distance of at least 2 metres and having the careFIJI app activated with Bluetooth on at all times.

“Please do not take the risk – COVID-safety protocols are put in place to protect businesses, their staff, and customers.

“If you see COVID-safe protocols being disregarded, please report them to the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport or the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission.”
