Like many businesses across the country, Asco Motors Fiji has also been heavily impacted by Fiji’s second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, Company outgoing chief executive officer Craig Sims said apart from the economic impacts of the pandemic, the company also recorded a few positive cases within their staff.
“We have had some COVID cases for our staff and we are providing support to them throughout this time,” he said.
He said despite this the company had adopted strict COVID protocols to ensure staff safety.
“As of now we are 85 per cent compliant and will be following the Government legislation in terms of dates and requirements to be vaccinated. We have very strong processes in place and have done extensive education to meet the MCTTT COVID safe working protocols.”
He added that the company would continue to carry out investments for the future.
“As we all know the economy has been impacted by COVID-19. Things will get better and we will return back to where we were in 2018-2019.”
He said their $15 million dealership in Nadi was one of the investments that would allow the company to capitalise on better business conditions.
