Around 118,000 individual households have been assisted by the Government over the past week through the $90 lockdown relief assistance.

Fiji’s Ministry of Economy confirmed this in a statement saying this included some 37,000 recipients in the Nadi-Lautoka containment area and 81,000 recipients in the Lami-Suva-Nasinu-Nausori area.

Meanwhile, the ministry stated that civil service salaries were paid out one day earlier, on Wednesday, to allow the 35,000 government civil servants to begin their preparations, including assisting families and friends.
