The Anti-Corruption Division of the High Court at Suva has ordered former Opposition MP Ratu Suliano Matanitobua to pay back $38,378.22 obtained from Parliament.

The matter was called before High Court judge Justice Dr Thushara Kumerage yesterday.

The court heard Ratu Suliano was ready with the money to be paid to the Court Registry and the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption did not object.

Ratu Suliano was earlier found guilty of collecting allowance by falsely stating his permanent address as Namosi Village on the MP declaration form.

The matter was adjourned to August 8 for sentencing and mitigation hearing.
