Court grants bail to man charged with obtaining financial advantage

BAIL has been granted to former FDB Relationship and sales officer by the Suva Magistrates Court.
Joji Cavalevu, 26, appeared before Magistrate Liyanage Wickramasekara charged with one count of obtaining financial advantage.
It is alleged that Mr Cavalevu misrepresented the terms and conditions stipulated in the approved loan offered by FDB to a person and as a result obtained an advantage of $4000.
Magistrate Wickramasekara granted him bail on a $3000 personal bond with two sureties who have signed a surety bond of $3000 each.
A travel ban has also been issued and Mr Cavalevu has been asked to surrender all his travel documents.

The case has been adjourned to February 27, 2019.
