THE countdown to one of the country’s biggest and most fun-filled events, the Amazing Wheelbarrow Race-Bara Battle Fundraiser, began last Saturday at Albert Park, Suva.
The Frank Hilton Organization kickstarted the first training sessions for the wheelbarrow race fundraiser with activities designed to familiarize participants with the race, promote physical activity, foster team bonding, and ignite a competitive spirit amongst the different teams.
The session also reinforced the power of collective effort in contributing towards a great cause – raising funds to enable crucial services for children living with disabilities.
Fiji’s ‘Zumba Queen’ Litiana Miller conducted the training session.
In a press statement, the organisation said “the fundraiser promises to be a truly exceptional event, providing an opportunity for individuals and teams to come together in support of the Frank Hilton Organization’s mission.”
“By participating in this unique race, community members will not only contribute to raising funds but also create awareness about the importance of early intervention services for children in Fiji,” the organization said.
The training sessions will take place every Saturday at 7am until the main event, which is scheduled for Saturday July 29.
