THE final spot for the McDonald’s Fiji’s Coral Coast 7s tournament has been offered to one of the official suppliers of the tournament, Beyond Limits Known (BLK).

This was confirmed by the Basic Homes Tabadamu 7s tournament director Malakai Yamaivava on the weekend.

The remaining spot was supposed to be handed to the winner of the 2nd Basic Homes Tabadamu 7s tournament.

However, after a last-minute withdrawal by Fiji Development and Stallions teams, there were three spots remaining.

Coral Coast 7s tournament director Jay Whyte announced before the Tabadamu 7s semi-finals last Saturday in Nadi that Raiwasa Resort Taveuni and Uluinakau 7s teams would fill in the two spots.

Whyte said things were shaping very well for the Coral Coast 7s this weekend.

He said the only thing they were worried about was the weather.

“But that is the nature of the game and you have to play with what is in front of you,” Whyte said.

“If the rain comes, we will deal with it well, otherwise things are looking good.”

The Coral Coast 7s tournament kicks off at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka on Wednesday.
