Consumers lack confidence, says Kumar

CONSUMERS in Labasa lack the confidence to speak up about issues affecting them, says Consumer Council of Fiji chief executive officer Premila Kumar.
At a workshop for traders and consumers organised by the Consumer Council of Fiji at the USP Labasa campus yesterday, Ms Kumar said most times when customers lodged a complaint about faulty products or against traders, customers would ask to remain anonymous.
“We have received a lot of complaints lodged at our offices around the country, but unfortunately when it comes to Labasa, not too many complaints come in,” Ms Kumar said.
