Congolese national on murder charge in Fiji further remanded

A Congolese national who is accused of murdering his wife last year in Suva appeared before the High Court in Suva today.

The matter involving Kiala Lusaka was called before Justice Daniel Goundar.

Justice Goundar informed the court that he may list the case for trial on the next court date.

Lusaka was further remanded.

The alleged incident occurred last July at Service St in Suva where the accused allegedly murdered 44-year-old Jennifer Downes.

The case has been adjourned to July 10.
