Popular outsourcing agency, Nearshore has announced that it will now be sponsoring employees who are pursuing tertiary education.

Speaking at their display booth at the University of the South Pacific’s Careers Day last week, Nearshore chief executive officer Faiyaz Khan said: “What we at Nearshore have decided is to help out our students as they come to universities from next year.”

“If they are facing difficulties with their studies or if they’ve had to stop their studies because, financially, they could not afford it, the Nearshore team has decided to help them out,” he said.

“We are giving them an opportunity to work with us, while at the same time they can study, and the biggest part of this is that Nearshore will sponsor the cost of their studies,” he elaborated.

The company will sponsor up to 2 units per semester and continued support will be dependent on maintaining good grades. The company offers flexible hours for part-time students to facilitate their educational journeys.

“We are really happy about this and would like to form partnerships with the students. While they are getting trained with our team, while they are working and earning some money, at the same time they do not have to worry about the fees they would have to pay,” Mr Khan said.

“If you are one of the students that needs that kind of support, I think you should contact our team, our HR department, soon or follow our social media channels.”
