Pleass Global Ltd made it through to another year with incredible performances despite the many challenges they encountered.

During the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) yesterday, chairman and managing director Warwick Pleass stated that this year’s AGM was a success. ”

I think we had a record attendance for shareholders and that was really good to see,” Mr Pleass said.

“This is our third year in a row for online meetings and it’s always nice when it’s all good news to deliver to shareholders.”

Mr Pleass said the company had surpassed challenges and was confident with this year’s plans as customers’ orders had gone back to normal.

“The Fiji economy is going quite strong for us and we are very happy with that.

“It’s quite stable and it has seen us through and has been good bread and butter business for us.”

He hopes that stability will come out of China and the United States of America (USA) as they are two of the company’s major markets.

“They have both suffered at different times from covid in their economic activity.

“And so the orders have not been as regular as they used to be but we hope that’ll change now as their economies are stable.

“We can ride out that in stability because we have enough production capacity, we get a lot of orders in one month so we just turn the machines on for longer.”

He added that the staff had been very supportive through hard work and perseverance.

“They know we have to make it when the orders come and so having a brand new factory gives us that additional capacity that we can just get things done as soon as orders come in.

“This year is looking fantastic for us but we think that the second half of the year is going to be really fantastic.”
