Company opens new outlet

A LOCAL retail company has expanded its reach in one of Suva’s growing metropolitan areas targeting a new customer base —youths.
The company — Nu-Look opened its fifth outlet at Damodar City in Laucala Bay on Thursday with an aim of providing extended shopping hours particularly for the working populace.
The company has also strategically placed their outlet at the complex targeting potential customers from the nearby university students and workers.
According to Nu-Look general manager Harshal Ramji, the new outlet which was enabled through a lucrative investment, had extended hours from 9am to 9pm.
“With this mall, we’ll have extended hours of shopping for our customers who are missing out because currently our shops are based in Suva City area which has the normal hours of trading from 9am to 5pm,” he told this newspaper.
“It is a milestone for us as we always wished to have a shop in Damodar City and be a part of this complex.
“Here in Damodar City our hours will be from 9am to 9pm, so for all the working-class people, university and everyone, this is the place to do shopping.
“There’s potential particularly with the younger market that we are currently not getting. So this is something we can also get new customer base.”
Nu-look also has a serious objective of providing quality garments which can be worn by a cross-section of people.
“We’ve got mainly menswear, ladies wear, we’ll also be getting in teenage wear, kids wear and a lot of new items will be coming, plus fashion accessories and lots of handbags, wallets and undergarments,” Mr Ramji said.
The new outlet has also employed about 10 new staff members who will be manning the retail outlet from Sunday to Saturday.
The event was also significant as it also marked the company director’s birthday — Bhupen Kumar Ramji.
The company was established in 1998 and provides retail services, wholesale services, takes special offers from customers and company orders
It has outlets at 29 Toorak Road, 160 Renwick Road (Suva Central) and Main Street Nausori, including Damodar City.
The company also has ambitious plans to further expand its outlets nationwide.
