Update: 6:39PM CRIME prevention community leaders used the opportunity this week to meet with the Minister for Defence and National Security Inoke Kubuabola in what the Government is calling an open dialogue.
In a government statement the ministry said the Fiji Police Force conducted a National Crime Board Consultation for the Southern/Eastern Division on March 20-21, 2018.
The consultations were held in Suva, Navua, Nausori and Nasinu where the minister told leaders there was a need to strengthen crime prevention committees.
“Minister Kubuabola also reminded the public that faith based organisations play a vital role in the moulding of moral and ethical character and religious leaders need to be engaged for a renewed drive to help improve the moral and ethical fabric of communities,” the government statement said.
