Update: 1:59PM JUMPING may not have been their first preference sport but four young men are working hard to win medals for Suva Grammar School driven by school spirit.

Literally putting their best foot forward today were Luke Rogoyawa, Luma Vaai, Josefa Cama and Josefa Mataika.
Rogoyawa who is also the head boy said the group were part of an effort to field more long jumpers for the lions.
“In previous years we hardly ever had competitors in long jump so we encourage more young students to try out and now we have athletes in every grade,” Rogoyawa said.
The four were at today’s Athletics Fiji Easter Games at the ANZ Stadium competing with adult jumpers in the hope of acclimatising to the competitive atmosphere ahead of the Coke Games next month.
Also the head boy of the school, Rogoyawa said the lion spirit this year was fuelled by extra strong old scholars support.
“All the things they are doing for us just makes us want to work harder and make them proud.”
