NEW Vodafone Fiji Bati head coach Brandon Costin has big plans for local-based players.

Days after arriving in Fiji, Costin has mapped out plans to secure a successful tenure in Fiji.

He said he wanted to see a local-based side playing in the New South Wales Cup tournament by 2020.

Former Fiji Bati skipper and rugby league legend Petero Civoniceva has been spearheading talks to include Fiji in the Australian
competition.

Costin will also meet local coaches soon.
