TEAM officials participating in the three-day Christian Mission Fellowship International 7s that kicked off in Labasa today have been advised to respect match officials.

As the match kick-started today, the atmosphere grew tense after the Nasasa 7s team manager from Wainikoro entered into a heated argument with a match referee.

The team manager had to be escorted to the station where he later apologised to the match official.

Speaking at the match today, Fiji Rugby Union representative Joeli Lutu reminded team officials that match referees’ decision was legally-binding.

“Therefore, as team officials and spectators, you need to be aware of this and respect the decisions they make during a match,” he said.
