City Rangers secure sixth win at athletics meet

CITY Rangers secured its sixth successive Lautoka Primary Schools Athletics District wins outclassing the other four teams at Lautoka’s Churchill Park yesterday afternoon.

The team scooped a total of 52 gold medals with Red Chiefs winning 15 gold medals to secure the secure spot.

The meet also unearthed two future stars in Mesulame Tuigau and Niria Veramu.

Tuigau and Veramu won the100m, 200m and 4X100m in the under 14 boys and girls respectively.

Meet president Donasiano Kalou said they have selected a strong Lautoka side to feature at the upcoming Chow Games in Suva.

He said Lautoka would be a team to reckon in this year’s game based on the performance of their athletes this year.
