The Lautoka City Council has issued a dengue fever alert for residents within the city boundaries.
This, after three confirmed cases of dengue were recorded in the Sugar City.
In a public notice issued yesterday, the council urged residents to carry out the necessary health and safety precautions to protect their families.
Residents have been urged to remove mosquito breeding places.
The council’s user pay services could also be sought by residents.
