Cikamatana’s success lifts morale of Fijian athletes

THE General Secretary Fiji Weightlifters Association Peni Tawai said Eileen Cikamatana’s success has boosted the morale of Fijian lifters as they are getting in more lifters to take part in their competition in December.

“On Eileen’s success on representing Australia I am very happy about it and not only me but almost 100% of the people in Ovalau are happy about it,” he said.

“For many years we had been representing our country, winning medals and making our country proud but at the end of the day we notice that the glory of our success lies only that time of victory.”

He added that the their upcoming event called the Fiji’s strongest will take place at the jungle gym in Baba, Levuka.
