Members of the Jehovah’s Witness faith who lost their homes to STC Yasa are being assisted with newly-built dwellings.

Three teams of volunteers from the JW’s Disaster Relief program have been based in Naruwai for Bua families, Dreketi for Macuata, and Seva for those in the Labasa area.

Dreketi team leader Pauliasi Seru said they had already repaired partially-affected houses.

“We are now constructing the totally damaged houses and we have 15 in total for the North,” Mr Seru said.

“In Dreketi, we have built two houses already and these families don’t pay for anything at all because the church funds everything.”
