THE past eight years have seen the Fijian Methodist in the United Kingdom church grow spiritually, says chaplain the Rev Jimione Kaci.
Speaking at the opening of the eighth church conference at Stoke on Trent last weekend, he thanked members for being steadfast in their faith.
He said even though there were difficulties faced along the way in forming the church in the United Kingdom, it never detered members’ spirits.
Mr Kaci it was a said occasion that his term had ended but was very proud of the achievements from the members in the UK and Northern Ireland.
He said it showed their love and commitment to the Lord even though they were overseas.
More than 400 members were part of the opening of the conference and day one of the choir competition.
The members also welcomed divisional head the Rev Eroni Moce, who was also part of the conference this year.
