Thousands of Christians across the country are celebrating Palm Sunday in their own homes today because of the ban in place on all mass gatherings, including religious activities.

Palm Sunday commemorates the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem.

According to biblical teachings, palm branches are considered symbols of victory and triumph.
