OLYMPIA FIELDS, Illinois – South Korean Chella Choi carded a four-under-par 67 to jump into a tie for the lead with American Danielle Kang after the third round at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship yesterday.
Choi and Kang are at 10-under 203, two strokes clear of South Korean Shin Ji-yai and three in front of defending champion Brooke Henderson at Olympia Fields.
California-born Kang started the day with a share of the lead, and carded 68 to stay there.
The other halfway co-leader, Kim Sei-young, stumbled with a 72 to fall four shots off the pace in the second women’s major of the season.
Former world number one Shin was the day’s biggest mover, vaulting into contention with a seven-birdie 64.
