TWO Police Officers from the People’s Republic of China are in the country on an attachment as a result of the outcome of continuing relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Fiji Government.
Supervisor Class 1 Wang Xiang and Superintendent Class 1 Zhang Zheng from the Hubei Provincial Public Security Department were welcomed by Commissioner of Police Major General Ben Groenewald and senior officers at the Fiji Police Headquarters this morning.
The duo who are the third attachment of officers from the Peoples Republic of China will be mainly based with the Forensics Department but they will also be sharing their knowledge and expertise in other fields.
In 2011 the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Government of Fiji signed the Police Cooperation Agreement which has seen the two Police organisations exchange assistance in many forms.
