CHILDREN affected by TC Winston will be one of the many targets for assistance by this year’s Nadi Bula Festival Trust.
Local bands and artiste will converge at the Prince Charles Park on July 22 for a pre Bula night fundraiser and all funds will be directed towards cyclone affected children.
Since its inception in 1960, the festival had always been community based, providing assistance towards the needy.
According to the NBFT president Leone Naivalu, this year is no different.
“The Foundation for Education of Needy Children (FENC) will be the beneficiary of the pre-Bula night fundraiser where all funds raised will be given to them and they will give it out to cyclone affected children,” said Mr Naivalu.
“The project is for yet another one of the many charitable causes which the committee has identified for this year.” FENC chairman Dr Robin Nair thanked the committee for joining hands with them to support children, especially those struggling to cope with education due to the devastating effects of TC Winston.
The pre-Bula night will be held on Friday, July 22 at Nadi’s Prince Charles Park.
