A REPRESENTATIVE from the New Zealand Ministry of Primary Industries will visit the country to see how the quality of potatoes imported into Fiji is sometimes affected by the time it reaches here.
Biosecurity Authority of Fiji acting CEO Hillary Kumwenda said the issue had been discussed during technical meetings between Fijian and New Zealand officials.
Mr Kumwenda said there was no doubt that New Zealand MPI conducted the same stringent checks that Fiji did when facilitating exports.
