Champions play their cards right

BLK Nadroga may seem to be losing their grip on the HFC Bank Farebrother Challenge during the past two challenges.

However, the Stallions revealed they are just playing their cards right each game as they have to defend the prestigious silverware seven times this season.

Naitasiri and Northland had taken the Stallions to the wire and today, Suva was expected to be in full force as Nadroga defends the title for the third time.

Tiko Matawalu, the Nadroga Rugby Union president and former Nadroga captain said they were taking each game at a time.

“We’re just playing our cards one at a time,” he said.

“Against Naitasiri we had a card for them and also for Northland. Suva will be a tough force to face but we also got a game for them.”

Matawalu said all challenging teams would be against Nadroga and had been using the available technologies to analyse their weekly games.

Suva has been in camp for the past four weeks and is boosted with the inclusion of Fiji sevens squad member Isake Katonibau. Nadroga has also included sevens players Savenaca Rawaca, Eremasi Radrodro, Apisalome Waqatabu and Apisai Domolailai in their starting 15.

The game kicks off at 3pm at Lawaqa Park.
