Champion’s masterpiece: Fiji FA crowns Lautoka as DPL winner

The Viti Water Flow Lautoka FC was crowned the champion of the 2021 Digicel Premier League after beating Nadroga 3-0 on Sunday at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

This is Lautoka’s sixth national league title win.

They first won the title in 1984, 1988, 2009 and made back-to-back wins in 2017 and 2018.

Despite a match in hand for the Blues against Labasa, they have been crowned the champion with 27 points.

The race is on now for second spot as Rewa, Suva, Ba and Labasa have the chance to finish on second spot.

Lautoka receives $18,000, the runner-up gets $5000 and third place finish earns $1000.
