A timely boost for the Fiji Va’a men and women’s teams to the 2019 Pacific Games with Konitiki Finance coming aboard to assist Fiji Outrigger in its final steps towards Samoa to the tune of $10,000.
The partnership between Kontiki Finance and Fiji Outrigger was forged in the hopes to keep the Va’a sport alive along with the continuous development of local passion driven paddlers.
“We are extremely honoured to be part of the Fiji Va’a team’s journey to the Pacific Games,” said Kontiki Finance manager customer services William Madden.
“We will always be a huge supporter of local sporting teams and events which provide an avenue to showcase our Fiji talent both internationally and locally”.
With the sponsorship the teams would be able to be provided with 12 new paddles for the games.
“Fiji Outrigger is very thankful for the support given by Kontiki Finance,” said Fiji Outrigger executive treasurer Wilisoni Naqasima.
“It is the help we receive from companies such as Kontiki that keeps Va’a growing in Fiji.”
