A MAN charged with several criminal offences appeared at the Nasinu Magistrates Court this afternoon.
The 37-year-old man is charged with three counts of assault causing actual bodily harm, five counts of rape and a count each of damaging property, criminal intimidation and robbery.
It is alleged the man dragged a 58-year-old woman into a bush and raped her between January 7 and 17 this year in Nasinu.
Magistrate Charles Ratakele said the accused was charged with an indictable offence and has transferred the case to the High Court in Suva.
The accused has been remanded and the case has been adjourned to February 1.
