Carpenter in custody for allegedly raping a six-year-old

A man is in police custody at the Nakasi Police Station for allegedly raping a six-year-old child during a drinking party yesterday.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the victim was alone inside the living room watching television while her parents were with others drinking when the suspect, a carpenter in his late 20s allegedly committed the offence.
“The victim has been medically examined as investigations continue,” Ms Naisoro said.
