THE Fiji junior surfing team will go into the camp to prepare for the International Surfing Association World Junior Surfing title in Japan.

“The two-day camp will be at Rendezvous Surf Resort at Momi. Our six-member squad will arrive on Saturday morning and depart on Sunday afternoon,” he said.
“We will have a couple of training session during the camp.
“There will be a lot of discussions on the techniques and we will have a yoga instructors and have a fitness trainer as well.”
Portingale said they were trying to take a holistic approach.
“We will be heading out to Cloudbreak and at the swimming pools area each morning. In the afternoon, we will see a yoga instructor and a fitness trainer who take us on several drills and activities,” he added.
“The training program has been well supported by The Hot Bread Kitchen.
“We have six surfers in the squad but we will only take three.”
The final team will be finalised on July 25.
