ONE of Fiji’s prominent chartered accountant and KPMG managing partner Lisa Apted has been given a prestigious Fellowship award from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).

This makes Ms Apted one of the 220 chartered accountants worldwide to have been awarded a CA ANZ Fellowship for 2019.

In a statement issued today, Peter Vial FCA, Group Executive New Zealand and the Pacific for CA ANZ, said: “Our Fellows are Chartered Accountants who have achieved outstanding success in their professional careers, but also in their work for the wider community. Lisa is an exemplar of the values of being a Chartered Accountant.”

Ms Apted has had a 29-year career with KPMG – being its managing partner and leader of the taxation practice in Fiji – navigating Fiji’s compliance environments and working for women’s and children’s rights.

She is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors; an Accredited Mediator at the Fiji Meditation Centre; a Trustee of Fiji Women’s Rights Movement; and a board member of Save the Children Fiji.
