A MAN has been arrested in Visako Circle, Nadera, for allegedly being in possession of illicit drugs.
Police have confirmed this in a statement stating they had received information that the 28-year-old man had drugs.
They had stated that after a search, one sachet of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana was found and it had been sent for analysis.
Police have also arrested a businessman in Martintar, Nadi, last night after a raid was conducted at his property.
The 47-year-old man is the owner of Jet Set Car Wash and upon a search, Police confiscated five small clear plastic containing white substances with a weight of 28.6 grams, 12 sealed plastic of dried leaves believed to be marijuana, four scales and other drugs sniffing apparatus.
Cash of different currencies was also confiscated from the property, including $1206 in local currency.
The businessman is in custody as Police await the drugs analysis report.
