Nadi Market Vendors Association president Lia Launimate said business was expected to increase for vendors with the changes in market opening and closing hours.

“The change in timing came into effect from Wednesday and we hope to see more people flocking to the market,” she said.

Ms Launimate said vendors could also see an increase in their “afternoon customers” because of the change.

She said more vendors were at the facility, mostly due to the scrapping of market fees for a year.
