Bus driver fronts court for alleged sexual assault of boy

A 24-YEAR-OLD bus driver appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court for the alleged sexual assault of a 12-year-boy.
The man, who is charged with one count of sexual assault, is alleged to have sexually assaulted the boy on June 16, 2018, in Lami.
Police Prosecutor Ronil Prasad served full phase disclosures while defence lawyer Amrit Chand made a bail application.
Magistrate Jioji Boseiwaqa granted the accused bail with two sureties who signed a surety bond of $300 each.
He has also ordered the accused to report to the Valelevu Police Station.
The case has been adjourned to December 5, for plea.
