TEACHERS do not need university qualification to be good at their profession, says Director National Education Service Delivery Timoci Bure.

Speaking at a forum with heads of schools in Suva last week, he said teachers should be passionate about their job.

“You don’t need a post-grad degree or a bachelor’s degree, all you need is a heart to serve,” Mr Bure said.

He also said that heads of schools should make it difficult for teachers to take an early leave on any school day because they were expected to be the first one in and the last to leave.
