Update: 1:02PM A TRAINING was recently organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Kadavu to empower participants in understanding fundamental business processes, rewards, and risks.

Known as the ‘A start and improve your business’, the training facilitated by the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Tourism was attended by 30 participants and an individual with special needs of Buliya Village.

Fiji’s Minister for Youth and Sports Laisenia Tuitubou urged the participants to draw from the outcomes to assist them to establish their own small businesses.

He said the training aimed to guide learners to assess their business readiness, making use of business opportunities and guide participants in preparing a good business plan.

Buliya Village chief Viliame Tuni commended the Ministry of Youth and Sports for organising the training for the youths and also acknowledged the facilitators for their deliberations.

“Development is happening so fast and we as a community need to be prepared for the change,” Mr Tuni said.
