Parents of two primary schools in Bua on Vanua Levu celebrated another new project yesterday as Government stepped in to build rehab classrooms damaged by TC Yasa.

Education Minister Rosy Akbar assured parents of Dama District School and Bua District School that the Government remained committed to providing the best education for students.

“We are building rehab classrooms to get students out of the tents and into proper classrooms,” Ms Akbar said.

“We will build better and permanent classrooms for your children later on with the help of the Australian government,” she said.

The $138,000 project at Dama and the $130,000 project at Bua District are expected to be completed within the next six to 10 weeks.
