Fiji Ports Corporation Ltd is looking forward to the resumption of progress at the planned AMEX development in Lautoka. This was after they were advised that AMEX is in advanced negotiations to appoint a new contractor to pursue the work as soon as possible.
The installation of an electric document management system (DMS) is among the targeted outcomes for the first six months by the Fiji Ports Corporation Ltd. According to FPCL IT manager, Geethika Dissanayake the system will catalogue all FPCL and FSHIL documentation. FPCL’s IT department at the end of last year had completed the installation of the DMS software.
To ensure that the Fiji Ports Corporation Ltd is protecting the company’s human capital while remaining competitive, its Human Resources department have a number of revamping projects in various departments this year. This, according to HR manager Jovilisi Biukoto, includes a review of the harbourmaster’s office and pilots which has been completed.
