Sadr rare visit
DUBAI – Iraq’s influential Shi’ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr made a rare visit to Saudi Arabia on Sunday, where he met the powerful Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in the Red Sea port city of Jeddah and discussed issues of common interest, Saudi state news agency SPA reported.
Jail term upheld
TEL AVIV – An Israeli military appeal court upheld a manslaughter conviction and 18-month jail sentence for a former army conscript Elor Azaria, who killed an incapacitated Palestinian assailant in the occupied West Bank in March 2015.
